How To Alkalize Your Body

Your body operates on a very delicate chemical balance. When the body becomes too acidic your health immediately starts to decline. Your blood cells cannot produce disease fighting immunities and you become at risk for cancer and osteoporosis. On the flip side, if the alkalinity of the body is positive you will experience less sickness, less pain from arthritis, more energy and better skin.

The foods we eat play the largest role in producing more or less acidity in the body. As our body digests fats and sugars it creates acid while the alkaline inducing foods are fruits and vegetables (yes even eating fruits that are considered “acidic” like lemons and limes help alkalize the body during the digestion process).

The standard diet for many people in first world nations is rather unhealthy. We consume too much meat, sugar, tobacco and caffeine and not nearly enough fruits and vegetables. Our bodies were meant to consume more alkaline foods than not, but we consistently throw our bodies out of whack with an unhealthy diet.

Focusing on eating less meat, fat and sugar and replacing that food with healthy fruits and vegetables will have an amazing side benefit of naturally reducing and maintaining your weight. All the while you will also be increasing your health and your energy levels. In order to alkalize your body, be sure to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, get plenty of exercise and drink lots of water.

If your body is too acidic right now and you need to do something fast – think about trying the “Ph Drink.” Simply add two tablespoons of lemon or lime juice, one half teaspoon of baking soda and 8-12 ounces of water together and stir. Drink this once a day to maintain good balance. You can also simply stir one to two teaspoons of baking soda into a glass of water per day. Soon you will start to see the positive results of your alkalinity!
